The KS Flow Test Bench is
designed for investigations into flow characteristics of
engine components and includes the KS Tornado fully computerized control
system for automatic test runs and data
acquisition.
The KS Flow Test Bench is capable of measuring the flow
resistance (discharge coefficients, --curve) of all intake
and outlet-related engine parts like scavenge ports,
cylinder heads, intake manifolds, filters, exhaust pipes,
silencers, catalysts, carburettors, etc.

For cylinder head measurements, the piston (2-stroke)
or the valves (4-stroke) are moved by a linear actuator
(position controller) and the measurement is taken
with reproducible, controlled values for pressure drop and
valve (or piston) opening positions.
